4 minutes read

One of the most famous names in the brokerage market of India, Zerodha, has recently rolled out six new features for its trading platform Kite to improve the trading experience for its customers and enable hassle-free placing of orders. These were announced by Nithin Kamath, CEO of Zerodha, who has promised more upgrades based on user feedback.

Order Slicing: Simplifying Large Trades

One of the features that stands out is the Order Slicing. This functionality also splits large orders into small chunks to satisfy the exchange imposed limits on size. For instance, one could now place a large Nifty order composed of up to 20 slices of 1,800 each (36,000 quantities in all) without manual intervention. This makes the process for traders working with big volumes simpler and also diminishing blunders.

Real-Time Margin Display

The Available Margin shows users their available funds right in the order window. Traders had to go to an additional part to have a look at their margins and the process was hindered by this. This update allows users to quickly evaluate their financial capability without putting up for a trade in order to make informed and efficient decisions

Integrated Market Depth Information

Its integration into the order window makes Market Depth easier to access. Traders are now able to keep their eyes on real-time market depth without having to switch screens and therefore perform analysis of buy and sell orders at various levels with each price faster. This enhancement helps in converting continuous liquidity and price flow information into a comprehensive view and in trading when it is most appropriate to do so.

Enhanced Futures & Options Trading

Now, the Remember F&O Quantity feature is available for users actively involved in Futures and Options (F&O) trading. The last entered quantity for a given contract is remembered by the platform and automatically filled into this value when reopening the order window. It discourages re entering data time and time again, thus saving precious time plus preventing input errors during fast paced trading sessions.

Market Protection Mechanism

The Market Protection feature, which is introduced to preserve traders from bad fills in a market situation, is paramount. With this feature, you can set a predefined range around the current market price, so that all the market orders are executed within acceptable price limits, the risk of unexpected slippage and the reliability of the trade execution are all improved.

Streamlined Basket Orders

In addition, Kite has introduced a new Basket Icon that will enable its users to create and manage basket orders efficiently. With this, traders are able to create and place multiple instrument orders in a few simple clicks from anywhere in the platform. This makes the business of handling complex trading strategies of multiple securities simpler and user friendlier.

User-Centric Development Approach

Nithin Kamath added that these enhancements are a direct result of user feedback and show Zerodha’s commitment to delivering the best and easiest trading experience. Zerodha continues to earn the reputation for being an innovative leader in this industry by continuously updating Kite with features that help addresses the changing needs of traders.

What’s ahead?

Kite was recently updated by Zerodha to provide a better trading experience to its users. Zerodha introduces features such as Order Slicing, real time margin display along with integrated market depth and more, to tackle aspects of trading efficiency and convenience of user that is generally critical for any trading platform.

Not only have these enhancements made it easier for users to place orders but they also offer them the capability to manage the markets better. In such a fast changing trading landscape, the innovations focused at user delight puts Zerodha and it’s CEO Nithin Kamath at the fore and setting new standards for excellence.
