CMF Phone 2 Pro Launch Confirmed for April 28: New Design, Triple Cameras, and Expected Features

​The launch of the upcoming smartphone CMF Phone 2 Pro has been announced officially by CMF by nothing; it will launch on April 28 at 6:30 pm IST. The CMF Phone 1, which was launched in September 2023, is succeeding this device. Along with the smartphone, the company is expected to launch a new lineup of true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, Buds 2 Plus.

​It is anticipated that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will come with a 6.67 inch AMOLED display that is expected to deliver vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling. It is said to pack the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor under the hood to achieve efficient performance for basic day to day tasks and heavy tasks, both. Apart from that, the device is going to have a solid 5,000mAh battery for considerably long usage without having to constantly charge the device. ​

New Look with a Cool Design

The rear panel of the CMF Phone 2 Pro is teased to be redesigned with plastic edges, and with a screw mechanism, the panel is held in place. The design choice matches that of the CMF Phone 1. The one thing we expect from the rear panel is perhaps a matte finish so that it has a tactile and textured feeling. Located on the bottom left side of the device is the CMF by Nothing logo. ​

Better Camera Setup

However, the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s camera setup is a significant upgrade. In leaked images, the CMF Phone has a triple rear camera system compared to the CMF Phone 1 boasting a dual camera. The flash has sensors arranged in a triangular formation to the side of it. This is an upgrade to try and address criticisms about camera capabilities on the camera phone in the past model. 

CMF Phone 2 Pro Specifications and Features

Although the detailed specifications of the CMF Phone 2 Pro will have to be officially released, the same is going to feature advanced build features as compared to its predecessor. Specs of the Nothing Phone 1 include a 6.7-inch full HD+ AMOLED LTPS panel with up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G SoC, and runs on Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6.

It books a dual rear camera setup with a 50 megapixel primary sensor and a portrait sensor and a 16 megapixel front camera. The device comes packing a 5,000mAh battery with the ability to be charged at up to 33W and reversely charge at up to 5W. ​

Pricing and Availability

At present, there is no information about the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s specific pricing. But then, considering CMF Phone 1 launched with a base model of 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage for Rs 15,999, CMF Phone 2 Pro should be priced around the same. ​

​The forthcoming CMF Phone 2 Pro is expected to dominate the midrange smartphone market with its design refresh and camera bump. However, the official launch is around the corner, April 28, and tech enthusiasts as well as consumers are impatiently waiting to see how CMF by Nothing further innovates and adds value to its product offerings.
